ADVANCEMENT TO

SECTIONAL SINGLES FINAL

 

A. Top six skaters in their section, in their level, at the National Qualifying Series

 

B.Top four at a Regional Singles Challenge

 

C. For junior or senior events, any Team USA skater, defined in ICR 3.04, who has been assigned to an international competition, and competes in that event; regardless of whether it conflicts with their Regional Singles Challenge

 

D. Having four or fewer entries in any singles event at a Regional Singles Challenge or having 12 or fewer entries in all Regional Singles Challenges within their section

 

E. Having won the U.S. Championships at the junior level in the previous season, if competing at the junior level this season

 

F. Having won the Sectional Singles Final (2019 Sectional Figure Skating Championships) at the senior level the previous season

 

NOTE: competitors qualifying under (A) or (C) through (F) have the choice to compete at their Regional Singles Challenge but do not lose their bye to the Sectional Singles Final, regardless of placement, nor displace a skater who would have placed in the top four at the Regional Singles Challenge if said skater had not competed. Intent to compete is collected at the time of qualifying registration and confirmed upon bye notification (email from U.S. Figure Skating HQ). 

ADVANCEMENT TO

U.S. Pairs/Dance Final(s)

 

A. Placing in the top three, of all teams nationwide, in their level, at the National Qualifying Series

 

B. Placing in the top five at a Sectional Ice Dance or Pairs Challenge

 

C. For junior or senior events, any Team USA team, defined in ICR 3.04, who has been assigned to an international competition, and competes in that event; regardless of whether it conflicts with their Sectional Challenge

 

D. For junior or senior events, having five or fewer entries in their event at a Sectional Ice Dance or Pairs Challenge, or 15 or fewer entries in their event in all Sectional Challenges nationwide (note: juvenile - novice teams will compete at their Sectional Challenges if there are at least TWO competitors)

 

E. Having won the U.S. Championships at the junior level in the previous season, if competing at the junior level this season

 

F. Having won the U.S. Ice Dance or Pairs Final (2019 Sectional Figure Skating Championships) at the senior level the previous season
