Special Achievement Award pins will be awarded for juvenile, intermediate and novice qualifying round free skate events, short program events and final round free skate events.

Pins will be awarded for the first time the criteria is achieved for:

• The skater in each group with the highest combined point total for spins.

• The skater in each group with the highest total Skating Skills mark.

• The skater in each group with the highest total Performance mark.

Every skater that earns at least two +4’s or higher for an element.

Every Juvenile or Intermediate skater that earns a jump bonus point by executing a CLEAN double axel or triple (no falls, no edge attention and no under-rotation, -2 GOE trimmed mean or higher as described in the current rulebook).

Every Novice skater that earns a jump bonus point by executing a CLEAN double/triple; triple/triple or 4 different triples (no falls, no edge attention and no under-rotation, -2 GOE trimmed mean or higher as described in the current rulebook).

Pins will be awarded for the first execution or achievement of the criteria. Each athlete will be eligible to receive up to one pin for each of the above criteria, therefore the maximum number of pins an athlete can receive from the Regionals Challenge is five.

POSTING OF WINNERS:

As soon as possible following the posting of the results for each group, the list of Special Achievement Award recipients will be posted next to the results.

RECEIVING YOUR PIN:

Once a skater sees their name posted, they should go to the registration desk to pick up their pin. If a skater can’t make it, a coach, parent or friend can pick up the award – please initial by the name so we know who has received them.
